Shutzi returns from WWE to face off against Ronda Rousey

SmackDown has been eventful, but yet to deliver, as during the first two matches of Beat the Clock, the long-awaited Shotzi brought back WWE SmackDown. Shozi has not been seen at SmackDown since February 25, and she only wrestled once in January during a Women’s Royal Rumble match. Tonight she will face Ronda Rousey as part of two matches from the Beat the Clock Challenge, the second match featuring Charlotte Flair and Alia. The clock and Rossi pigeon struck right at Schutze, but Schutze jumped out of the ring and ran away from Rossi. She kept getting in and out of the ring and had Rousey chase her but at the 27sec mark, Rossi finally caught up with her. Schutze went to a circular house but Rossi evaded it and threw a kick of her own.

Then Schutzi ran away again but another but Rossi kicked Schutzi and sent her rolling again. They faced off again and Rossi grabbed her and threw her across the ring. I carried it again and hit the Fisherman’s Suplex, and the time was now 1:27. Rossi then rolled and locked the ankle and Schutze said she quit, clocking the time at 1:41.

Then Flair walked into the ring to see if she could beat that time. The crowd cheered on Flair as she entered the ring, then asked Rousey to celebrate now because she wouldn’t have anything else to celebrate. She also told Rousey to go away and get out of the ring, waiting for Alia to come down.

Alia made her way to the ring and after entering the bell rang. Flair is closed, Aliyah and Flair slammed Aliyah in the face first. I tell her to quit now and Aaliyah hits Enziguri but Flair fends off a clothesline. Aaliyah continued to dodge and counter Flair’s attacks, as Aaliyah responded to another move and struck a fatal blow. She went for a crossbody but missed, then Flair hits a big boot to knock her to the ground.

At this point there are only 35 seconds left but Alia has kicked her out of the ring. Then Flair knocked her down and she went into Figure 8, and she kept fighting. Alia reached the time limit and didn’t say I quit, meaning a Russian win in the Beat the Clock Challenge.

According to reports, Shotzi was behind the scenes at previous SmackDowns, but she was also dealing with a personal loss earlier in the year, so it’s still unclear why she’s taken off TV. Anyway, great to see her back in the ring, and hopefully now, she’s a permanent part of the mix at SmackDown week in and week out.
